Diving in the cenotes of Playa del Carmen is undoubtedly the jewel of the Yucatan jungle. Caverns formed millions of years ago and flooded in the last ice age. An experience unlike anything you’ve tried before and unique in the world.

We admit it, we are passionate about diving in cenotes. Their incredible backlighting, fantastic stalactite and stalagmite decorations, the sensation of weightlessness, and their haloclines make it a dive that you cannot miss. For the more experienced, diving in cenotes is a way to rediscover diving as if it were the first time.

The cenotes were formed millions of years ago, taking advantage of the limestone rock floor. Carbonic acid created systems of underground rivers that subsequently dried up. Incredible decorations with stalactites were formed inside them over millions of years. In the last ice age, the cenotes flooded again, creating a natural diving environment unique in the world.

There are many types, sweet or salty, shallow or very deep, white or dark, all different to satisfy everyone from beginner divers to the most demanding photographers.

Everyone can dive in cenotes, you just need your open water certification and a little experience. We evaluate your diving level and choose the appropriate cenote for you, and if necessary, you can dive in the sea before going to dive in the cenotes. Diving in cenotes is safe and is done in groups of a maximum of 4 divers per Full Cave certified guide. Our cenote guides have extensive experience in this environment.

The cenote diving tour in the Riviera Maya is a unique and unforgettable experience that will allow you to explore some of the most impressive underwater landscapes in the world.

The cenotes are ancient underground caves filled with freshwater that have formed over millions of years. These cave systems are famous for their impressive formations of stalactites and stalagmites, which have been created over time thanks to water erosion.

During the diving tour, you will have the opportunity to explore these underground caves and discover the rich variety of marine life that inhabits them. You can swim through impressive passages and underground tunnels, illuminated by the natural light that filters through the cave entrances.

The diving experience in the cenotes is a unique opportunity to experience weightlessness and the sensation of floating in a completely different environment. In addition, the water clarity is impressive, which will allow you to clearly see the incredible variety of rock formations and marine life that inhabits them.

The cenote diving tour in the Riviera Maya is designed for all levels of diving experience. Beginners can enjoy smoother and shallower dives, while more advanced divers can explore deeper and more complex caves.

Expert guides will accompany you at all times to ensure your safety and to help you discover all the most impressive corners of the cenotes. In addition, the diving equipment is included in the tour, so you don’t have to worry about anything.

In summary, the cenote diving tour in the Riviera Maya is a unique experience that you cannot miss if you are a diving enthusiast. With a rich variety of underwater landscapes and exceptional water clarity, this is a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of the underwater world in a completely different way.
