Welcome to the Open Water Diver course!
This is the first level in recreational diving certification and is the most popular course among divers. The Open Water Diver course is perfect for those who want to learn how to dive safely and enjoyably, and discover the exciting underwater world.
The course consists of three main parts: a theoretical part, a confined water training part, and an open water training part. The theoretical part is done online or in a classroom and covers the basics of diving, including the physics of diving, equipment, dive planning, safety, and the marine environment. The confined water training part is done in a pool or shallow waters where basic diving skills are learned, such as buoyancy control, breathing control, and underwater communication. The open water training part is done in a real diving environment, such as the ocean, where the skills learned in the theoretical and practical parts are applied.
The Open Water Diver course is designed to be fun, exciting, and safe. Highly trained and experienced diving instructors will guide students through the learning process and ensure that students gain the confidence and skills necessary to dive safely.
Upon successfully completing the Open Water Diver course, students will earn an internationally recognized certification that will allow them to dive anywhere in the world up to a depth of 18 meters. Additionally, they can continue their diving education through specialty and advanced courses.

What you can expect to learn:
The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course will cover all of the necessary skills and knowledge for open water scuba diving, including:
- The aquatic environment: vision, light, sound, heat loss, tides, currents, waves, surge, etc.
- Physics and physiology: buoyancy, pressure, air spaces, breathing compressed air, mixed gases, etc.
- Dive equipment selection, assembly, use and maintenance
- Dive planning
- Basic scuba skills including mask and regulator skills, swimming underwater, buoyancy control, basic rescue techniques, and emergency procedures

- Conduct open water dives in conditions similar to their training
